Gallery: Picnic Meeting of MUDIKA 2016
Picnic Meeting of MUDIKA (Muda Mudi Katolik, or the Catholic youth organization). The aim of the picnic meeting was to invite the young generation to be actively engaged in different kinds of responsibility in the village, in particular in relation to capacity building for their future so that they can be competitive but also at the same time they are still rooted in their own cultures and languages. Around 25 young Marori people participated in the picnic. The positive outcome of the meeting was that they have had follow-up meetings to organize themselves and plan activities in the village, including eagerness to help with language documentation. This was initiated by Wayan Arka as part of the outreach and capacity building of the EDLP project.
